What’s up Rosalind (Cyber attack by a well known marketer?)
Hi guys, I just got “attacked” for no rhyme or reason by another marketer called Rosalind.

I got even more shocked when I read her post…
I have been following you for years and I must say that I am not pleased with all your products… however, I do learn a lot from you and respect you as a top-notch internet marketer. I am a business owner and marketer myself… and I completely understand that no one can please everybody. I don’t see anything wrong with the trackback thingy as long as the original source is stated.

I feel for you buddy. I’ve reviewed products from both you and Ros and I just like you said, neither you or Ros have perfect material. Nobody does. I really do hope she posts that comment of yours on her site to be fair. You’ve mentioned a lot of good points and I do agree with just about everything that you’ve mentioned. From what I’ve seen, you’re products bring value into the market place – especially those that are starting out. I’ve been marketing online for close to a decade and I still learn a lot from you.

Geez she doesn’t mess with words. I am sure you happy to spread good content around just like anybody else. I have rss feeds emanating from sources too. The info is good the visitor finds out about a trusted source for a topic that relates to my niche so everybody is happy. By the way good sources don’t hand out rss feeds than pull the “indian giver” trick and maintain I have stole their content. I also have many draft posts yet to approve from registered uses to my site do they complain. NO .
I also have many of your products including PLR Ewan I have acquired over the past 3 years under different email addresses I have used (I have many as you would). Would like to add that once I upload my PLR membership script every PLR I have received from you will be on board. Also the Free Website Builder software is what I use at desktop..I think it is very good tool for me.

I’ve read your comments to Rosalind, and frankly what gives you the right to ask her not to post her own opinions in public? It’s her blog and her opinion – why shouldn’t she post it?
If someone starts a blog called “Intermetmarketingguru.com” or “iamthebestmarketeronearth.com” – yes I do assume that person wants you believe that’s what they are, unless it’s obviously done tongue-in-cheek.
I agree with her that “curation autoblogs” are just crap. Curation means taking what someone wrote and COMMENTING on it, not just repoisting it as it stands. There’s nothing new about straight reposting, those of us who were doing Adsense 5/6 years ago did exactly that to put keyword-related content on our sites. The fact that you’re now teaching it as something “new” says something about you. I repeat, CURATION means commenting and adding to someone else’s ideas, not copying them word for word. Huffington Post is the usual example given of true curation – your autoblog is nothing like that.

I don’t know your products, I have never bought anything from you as your promotion and marketing feels sleazy to me – I am on a lot of lists to see what the “guru’s” are up to.
I think this is just the beginning of hard push back from the market on the guru industry as a whole and you can expect more.

Maybe its time for some reflection and soul searching .
I wonder how you judge the products when you don’t even obtain any to sturdy! Example there’s 2 glass of clear water, 1 is sweet & the other is bitter, if you won’t drink them, how would know there’s differences…
Sure there’ll be many hard push back from the market especially for Internet Marketing Niche where there were many so call guru scamming around, if Ewen is to be one, I don’t think he can survive for the past decade, he has guided many small to big humble & quiet successful marketers a round the globe.
No one is perfect in this struggling world to earn a living, so we how can we expect each and every product to be perfect in this world. Everyone in this niche is competing for a pie in this cake…where the most money is being make…
We can’t awful lot of negative feedback comments, as this is a free speech world, but negative feedback & comments is better than no comment, they’ll help us to improve even more if they’re genuine & sincere…
It’s very unprofessional to cyber attack other in public, a simple mail to each other will help resolves most problems… And it’s a very lousy way to do it publicly… worse if it is to gain publicity… the backlash will even cause more pain if one is a public figure…
Note: If one is to point a index finger on other, look carefully how many fingers were pointing towards him/her, that will need reflection and soul searching…

LOL! Ewen, that sucks! I have bought your products way back when I was a newbie. Even though I knew I might not learn something new from the product itself I do learn from your sales process. I am actually one of those who absolutely hate autoblogs because they do NOT add value to the serps, but what Rosalind did is kind of low. I guess it’s the new strategy to get more attention. I mean you just mailed for it to your list and I bet you sent a ton of people there so she probably got some of them on her list now. Plus you gave her a link
What’s actually funny is that she thinks you are trying to make money with it or get links back LMAO. If she is such a super affiliate then she should know that you are a list builder. The reality is that you choose to operate your business in what has to be the sleaziest industry of all time, ever !
For those that make a full time living online – ( no not teaching others to make money online ) – we know that there are no push button secrets, no instant atm cash machines and no over night riches, this is a business.
If you cant see the filth and lies and scams and rip off’s that surround your industry, if they don’t just disgust you then I too question your ethics. I am not saying directly you are unethical but you need to appreciate where it is you operate and to not be tarnished with that same brush you need to go the well beyond the extra yard, you need to make the big extra effort – saying “not every product I create is good” is not enough to be above the trash.
And make no mistake trash and lies and scams is what dominates your industry.

I have bought your products including Secret Affiliate Weapon 2 and i have learned so much. I am still looking for the success level i have set as a goal. That I am not there yet is my fault not yours. I will get there though because what you teach is true. i just need to keep applying what you have taught and not give up. Everyone knows everyone – at least the big players. There is way too much bullshit in this marketing world. I will let the true facts come out and make my decision. I have got interested in some of your products but when looking closer, the hype alone and your emails repulse me. I am pretty certain that what Rosalind accuses you of is true and she must have bottled up her reactions for a while. I totally get her.
She strikes me as somebody who does things as well as she can without insulting people’s intelligence. You on the other hand use just any tactic to make a fast buck. Oh yes, I receive a lot of “spam” from all kinds of people and I sometimes get angry at the low quality and crap they (you included) are shooting at people and want to unsubscribe. I don’t though, your (guru) crap has its diverting side to it.

I find it almost laughable someone who knows the ropes would throw out such garbage over a trackback link. Personally, I am grateful considering your Instant Paycheck was responsible for my first few sales online.
Secondly, while some of us might be new to this (as am I) it doesn’t take a degree in “reverse engineering” to see that not every product will be or should ever expect to be a homerun! “Yes” there is a lot of crap out there…and sadly in this biz.. crap often out-sells the truth or the fact marketing to the masses actually takes work!

To my mind Ewen is a fantastic trainer and all his materials seems to be very genuine. I think people often gets disillusioned due the fact that Internet Marketing is a vast subject and needs lot of time to learn contrary to the fact that people wants to get instant result; that is they want instant money which may not be possible until and unless once gets proper training and knowledge about the subject.
Unfortunately, due to my stressed financial position I could not give much time to Internet Marketing. But I am an ardent follower of Ewen and I like and sincerely hope that he is a through gentleman and strongly believe that he is very fair. And if a person has spent so much of time, money and energy into a subject one can certainly call himself a GURU and I really find nothing wrong about it!

Wahoo! This is socking but not unexpected in a world full of competition and attention.
I have been following you for some years now and I’m presently a member of your membership site at http://bit.ly/qdollars. I have been promoting the site on daily basis because I believe your program and teachings are wonderful. However, after reading Rosalind’s post I cannot but conclude that she has succeeded in using the negative comment to drive insane amount of traffic to her blog. I never heard of her before but got to her site through the link you sent. Like you said your comment was not published and in my comment at her blog I wrote that if she was bold enough to post such allegation she should have been bolder to approve your comment.
My advice, if there is any correction you need to make regarding the way you do business, pls do it. But for her complain and allegation, I think it is part of the prize you need to pay as a guru in order to be a better guru.

She should have more respect for herself as a person indeed and not post biased opinions in public, this makes her look bad and could hurt her credibility a bit. You see, things of this nature may always backfire.
That post is really about how poorly she didn’t understand the sole purpose of auto-posting, and for her not to of her personal character, and the leader that she is, I would’ve expected her to understand how small it was. Which now she is making it to be a huge deal for no reason. Just an Emotional time of month for her, but always should always base facts off of True Facts and LOGIC.
How do we know she is not swindling people out of their hard-earned money?
Truth is she probably doesn’t even care about the people who she sells too. Because if i was following her or was a buyer of her, I would immediately STOP, because of all the bad and negative spirit that come out of here. People of these days tend to forget that life first is SPIRITUAL before it is physical. and it is always good to keep peace and positive vibes and environment,. (I wont get that deep into it)
The post allows people to judge who she really is as a person and what they may really think about the person. I think it is a completely pointless post , she just made herself come-off as , not-thinking, emotionally wrecked. She knows that You “Ewen Chia” is a genuine respected marketer who is Killing the game every time in the top spot. Jealousy is such an evil trait. Be happy with what your doing and go farther focusing on your self and not what others think.

From the little I have read on this, as far as I know, if I even tried to publish anything near what she published about you (and her explicatives), I think any potential people that might have been thinking about working with me or following me, are probably going to go in another direction, away from me. And that is just due to etiquette. On the other hand, once I publish a book, help a few thousand people and have plenty of cash, well then on a bad day. I will lean on my nostalgia, throw some names in a hat and then pull out the one I am going to squish like a bug that day, so I can sleep well that night…..

To be frank with you, she shouldn’t attack you that way. There must be something in her mind about you.

When I received your e-mail this morning I have to say I was quite surprised, I visited your blog and clicked on the link to view Rosalind’s post and must admit I didn’t really know who she was but after awhile realized the name did ring a bell as I have seen it mentioned once or maybe twice, she doesn’t seem to like you very much does she
Perhaps it’s because you usually beat her (and everyone else) in most all of the affiliate promotional contests.
On reading her post I have to conclude that she doesn’t seem to like reciprocal linking, she obviously has the Trackback and Ping settings switched on and by doing so is expressing her wishes of others being able to re-publish her posts so that she gets a link back to her site, but it seems she then treats anyone who does so like plagiarists that have stolen that content from her.
Also reading her post and seeing her comments about you that are dripping with such venom has been quite an eye opener as to what type of person she is, I haven’t actually purchased anything from her before and am now sure I never will, admittedly I haven’t bought every single one of your products but probably way more than half and of all those that I have, I will say that I’ve never bought a dud.
I know you’ve said that adding a little controversy can peak an interest in what you’re doing but there’s being controversial and being down right vicious which seems to be more the case here so I wonder if Rosalind has shot herself in the foot with this one as I’m sure after reading it, many others will be wondering who she’ll turn on next. ???

She is damn desperate to get free publicity from your blog and your list. Maybe just need to get her to read your bestselling book, which I’m rereading it currently (although I’ve read it many times and still applying since 2009). I have been your subscribers for years, bought few of your products and the bestselling book – all very educational and good knowledge – but will be useless if it’s not put into use. Personally I think times are bad over there as stocks have been plunging freely since yesterday and maybe facing their worse times ahead. I want to thank you all for your comments and thoughts on this matter! It’s great to know that I still have supporters. I’m not perfect just like every human being, but do strive to do good and provide value as much as possible. I’m a marketer but I do have a heart.
In life, you can’t please everyone. There will be people who love and hate you and that’s also true of business. However, be POSITIVE. Internet Marketing is and will always be a great way to earn your living, don’t let little things and obstacles discourage you.
Focus on the big picture and the good and “don’t sweat the small stuff”. Anyone can succeed with the right attitude, mindset and hard work.
I’ve shared a lot of what I’ve learned over the years and have also given out more free content and resources than I can count (just google and search around and you’ll find them) – and will continue to do so!
In summary…
The whole point of my post was not to “blame” or be offensive to Rosalind, I do still respect her. I hope you will too. It was purely a defensive measure because I’ve been wronged with direct personal attacks and strong words which I will NEVER condone.

It is sad to see that a lady like Roselind Gadner has come up with such an idea to tarnish your image. I have personally read your book and find it very useful. It is a great piece of work I must say. However, I would like to tell you some thing about RG. I happened to read some reviews about her and someone had commented that her book was nothing but praising herself and how she worked to achieve it rather than the actual methods. Due to this I decided not to buy her book.
The point is, even RG has not been able to please everyone. More over, whatever she thinks about you, someone had said the same words about her, 10 years back. I am not a net detective but I distinctly remember reading negative about her.

I am sort of surprised, that you are suprised, Ewen. =D I mean, this is the latest marketing tactic from most of you internet gurus now. Bashing each other. Mostly this is done on your sales pages about whatever it is that you are currently promoting. You know the drill. Sales pages that go something like:
“You need my product, because I am the only honest internet marketer. All others are lying to you”
or something like:
“I am the only one who will tell you how to really get traffic. Everybody else is lying to you.”
The thing that is funny is that all of these kinds of sales pages are only half right. They are right when they say that everyone else is lying to you. They are wrong when they tell you that they are not.

In your case, since she already apologized in her blog i guess you have to move on. In this kind of situation it will take at least couple of days to cool yourself down-don’t concentrate on this case anymore, go shopping and watch movie with your family and do some activities as this will help.

I’m really shock and felt sorry for what happened to you. I still can’t believe someone that I hold great respect to, as much as you, would say something like that.
From the responses of the readers on her blog, I see that many people have some “misunderstanding” of your products. And here’s something I wanted to clarify…
I’ve bought many products and courses from Ewen and I know that he likes to include many basic stuff like how to buy domain names and set up web hosting, etc… even for the more advance lessons they are usually things like submitting articles , forum posting, on/off site optimization, etc…
That’s why when many of those so-called “experience” marketers saw these kind of contents, they thought they are paying for trash, because they can usually find them on the internet… for free!
One thing many people didn’t realized is that what you know is not the most important thing, but more important is how you string together what you’ve learned and then put it into great use.
And also, you DON’T NEED rocket science to make money online… and NEVER try to reinvent your own wheel when it comes to implement your business strategies. All you need is a system that works, stick to it and then repeat the process as many times as you want.
This is also something I’ve learned from Ewen, not any other marketers who thought they know it all. Overall I think Ewen did very well on all his products and how his courses have helped many people on the internet.

The US constitution First Amend does not apply everywhere. In this case, professionalism should apply. If you are publishing on the internet, publishing rules should also apply.

It clearly shows how little she knows about auto blogging. Firstly, she has the prerogative to approve. These shit happens in auto-blogging. If she feels so strongly about the issue, just spam that damn auto-post.

Hi Rosalind I attended a days Internet Marketing training in London about 4 years ago with Ewen Chia and although I do agree there are some scams out there.
Ewen has and does teach a lot of valuable information, he also has a passion for his work unlike some of the whiners here who are too busy focusing on the next scam, to ever make any real money online. OK fair enough there are some perfect marketers who never sold a clickbank product in their life.. And wrote every word of their blog posts and content. Yipee Aye Yay to them maybe it’s time to set up an IM award Site
All I can say is I wished I had an email list and a list of followers like Ewen Chia.. I would have better things to do than whine on blogs and forums..
If you want to focus on Internet Marketing Scams set up an IM scam site you will get all the free original content you can dream of. But at least have the sense not to focus your own negativity on respected marketers directly let the whiners do that. That way you can keep some respect blame it on the whiners…

Bought some stuffs from you lastly but I never made any money from the methods you taught there, not because they are useless in IM, but because I am lazy….In fact, I’ve not made any sincere attempt yet in the IM field. Never heard of RG before, but her blaming statements towards your personality were just too bold (given that she competes with you in same field). Well jealousy and pride takes nobody anywhere and hence she is now apologising. One thing is for sure, the internet is more transparent than we think it is….this statement I recall from the first free stuff I read from you in the IM field and I think RG as an experienced IM has missed this totally. sue her… what she did is actionable… take action and shut her up! you already know the cost to obtain each new subscriber, and you know the amount they will spend during their life cycle on your programs… so do the math. from what i have read from both blogs you’ve lost quite a few subscribers, and more than a couple people are thinking of either not buying from you now, or actually returning their purchase. her blog has sullied your reputation, and has financial back lash. simply stating her opinion is not wrong, accusing you and stating as a fact that you’re shit, and don’t give a shit about your clients is actionable. by-the-way, i just looked at her blog again, and looks like she edited that part out.. however it was posted online long enough to impact your business… one of her lawyers must have told her to take it off… lolz… sue her… take Donal Trump’s advice and don’t put up with that crap and sue her!

I just read through Rosalind’s public apology. While it does suck what Ewen had to go through, at least she apologized and even notified all of subscribers about it. I’ve been learning from her since 2004 and this is the 1st time I’ve ever seen her make a comment like that. For those of you that don’t know her, she is a good person and I have even chatted with her on the phone in the past. We all have businesses to build and we should not let stuff like this get in the way! Let’s move forward and focus on the positives.

Its realy disgusting to see such degrading comments made by a respected (I’m not sure now) Internet Marketer to you.
The alarming fact is that she used very hurtful and unjustified remarks used with the aim to inflict the harshest kind of character assassination from a minor case of re-posting which I thought is normal in intenet marketing provided you give credit to the original writer.
I suppose many Internet marketers do face some adversity when they reach star or guru status but this case is the worst I came across.
At the end it’s the readers who know you well will form the judgement without being influenced by silly comments that sound nutty.
The fact that you still remain calm whilst rebuting these brutal accusations speaks volume of your courage in defending your integrity.

I try my best. It was a wrong of her right from the start and I don’t even have a history with her, much less know her. I’m sure anyone would do the same and defend themselves in such a situation.
The scariest thing is…she STILL DOES NOT get the point. She apologized but has missed the point totally. Her thing about the autoblog issue is a big joke honestly. The joke is IMNewsWatch is doing the exact same thing, why didn’t she go after them instead? She totally missed the point.

I think I’ve read just about every comment from both sites. Good grief! Is the internet marketing niche growing or getting smaller? To me both Ewen and Roz represent two different types of marketer and appeal to two totally different types of people.
Your average joe is not going to buy the super affiliate handbook before he buys one of Ewen’s products. Most people start out with Ewen’s newbie targeted products and then branch out from there. I have products from both parties and both of them have helped me to get a better handle on the whole IM/Affiliate marketing business.
To be quite honest, my first money online came not from one of Ewen’s paid products, but it actually came from information in a FREE REPORT.
Anyway, I hope we’ll still be able to do business in our respective niches and make a living without anyone trying to bully us around, because that’s just a MASSIVE waste of time.

With so few high profile women in the IM space it’s unfortunate that Ros went on the attack with such viciousness. Makes the rest of us look bad. Men can be aggressive in business and that’s usually ok. But women ALWAYS come across as bitches. It’s always been that way.
Anyway, calling you (or anyone) out by name was just wrong. Or maybe a brilliant publicity stunt gone wrong.

I have followed you for a long time now. Since I have been on the Internet for over 18 years now, I had heard of both of you for years now. Though I am in the same field, I know for a fact that Internet Marketing as an ‘Industry’ has become extremely competitive. It is a fact also that it is full of scams and hype. I do feel, however, that very little in the Internet marketing niche is ‘new’ or ‘unique’ enough for anyone to have a hissy fit over a trackback.
As for ‘auto-blogging’ using RSS feeds and trackback links – no one would post them unless they felt the material was valuable. “Imitation is the height of Flattery”
The search engines love an ‘active’ blog with lots of new ‘posts,’ and auto-posting and trackbacks help a blog satisfy the search engines. Rosalind must have had another issue that put her in the frame of mind to lash out in such a way. Hope she realizes that such attacks can go both ways. Once one opens the door by attacking someone, they have left it open long enough to let in a few attacks on themself.
As long as you keep doing the best you can do and keep on helping others, you should not be concerned with these attacks. Those of us who have followed you know the value of your work. Keep your head up and let such comments fall away like water off the back of a duck. You have done no wrong and she has belittled herself in full view of everyone.
I always say, “There is no right in doing wrong – no wrong in doing right”.

Ewen, I am so sorry to see her post regarding you and your material. I have been following you for years. I have stumbled across Rosalind more times than I can remember, but I have never understood her way of marketing.
I know internet marketing is getting more and more competitive as time goes on, but I didn’t realize we were down to attacking one another. In doing so, we only destroy our credibility in the marketplace. Instead of criticizing you, and your work in general, she should have taken the matter directly to you instead of creating a “fan club” against you.
I feel your information is worth keeping up with and will not stop listening to new ideas and trends, no matter what someone, who would get so emotional about such a small thing, rants about.
We are all struggling to compete, but I think you are doing a fine job. Keep it up.
